CLASSES AT LIFEBODY

Classical Pilates taught the way it was designed small, focused, system-based sessions for real progress.

THE METHOD YOU'LL LEARN AT LIFEBODY

Pilates was never meant to live on just a mat or a reformer.
Joseph Pilates designed a complete system, multiple pieces of apparatus working together to strengthen, support and challenge the body in different ways. Each piece has a purpose. Each teaches you something new. Together, they create a method that transforms how you move, feel and function.

At LifeBody, we teach Classical Pilates as it was intended: as a full system.
You won’t stay on one piece of apparatus, you’ll move through the Reformer, Tower, Chair, Barrels and Mat in small, highly taught groups of four.

Every class is centred around precision, progression and personal attention.
You’ll learn the order, understand the “why” behind the work, and build strength that lasts, not just for an hour, but in your everyday life.

If you’re new to Pilates or new to LifeBody, this is the foundation we teach you step by step, with clarity, confidence and support.

Pilates as it was designed: intelligent, connected and quietly powerful.

WHY SMALL CLASSES MATTER?

We cap our classes at four clients so you receive meaningful hands-on teaching, tailored variations, and the individual attention needed to learn the method properly.

This isn’t follow-along Pilates.

It’s teaching.

What You Said About Us

Couldn’t recommend LifeBody more highly! I have been since it opened earlier in year and alongside the enjoyment factor it’s also taught me so much about my body - and Pilates in general. Having originally taken it up to help with rehab for two leg injuries, it’s now very much part of my life!

— Ro W.

Nat is quite simply the most brilliant Pilates teachers. I've been doing her classes since lockdown and still I'm seeing how my body is changing. This studio is beautiful. The perfect addition to the Lifebody world.

— Jennifer C.

I have always struggled to maintain regular exercise in my routine but my Pilates classes at LifeBody have become my favourite part of the week and I absolutely love going. The studio space is so beautiful and calm and all the instructors are incredibly knowledgable. The classes are small and intimate so that you can get 1:1 attention and tweaking but with the fun energy of group exercise. They go at a really lovely pace and you’re never made to feel silly if you’re not quite sure what you’re doing with the movements or equipment. It is the best studio in London and I genuinely wouldn’t go anywhere else.

— Saskia W.

What a gorgeous studio and even lovelier teacher! I left my class feeling relaxed, invigorated & my body felt like it had used muscles I wasn’t even aware I had! Amazing I can’t wait to come back!

FAQs

  • You’re in exactly the right place. Many of our clients started as total beginners. We’ll guide you step-by-step, with clear teaching, hands-on and a supportive environment where you can learn at your own pace. You don’t need to know anything before you walk in just that you’re ready to feel better in your body.

  • That’s such a common worry but at LifeBody, we’re not a competitive space. Every body is different, and everyone is on their own journey. Our classes are small and supportive, and our teachers are trained to offer hands-on help, personalised variations, and encouragement throughout, so you never feel lost or left behind.

You’ll be supported, seen, and celebrated, wherever you're starting from.

If you’re feeling nervous, a Discover session or private 1:1 is the perfect place to begin. And if you’re unsure what’s right for you, just reach out we’re here to help.

  • Not at all and that’s completely okay. If you’re joining an apparatus class (like Reformer, Tower, or Chair), we’ll introduce everything clearly and safely, step by step.

You’ll be guided through each movement with plenty of explanation and hands-on support if you’d like it. Most people feel a little nervous at first and end up falling in love with the equipment not long after.

  • If you’re working with an injury or specific condition, we always recommend starting with a 1:1 private session. It gives us the chance to understand what’s going on in your body and tailor the experience safely to you.

There’s a lot happening in the studio from apparatus to cues to learning new movement patterns and while our foundational classes are designed to guide you through it all, injuries are individual. A private session gives us space to check in, make adjustments, and ensure you feel confident before joining a group.

Our teachers are trained to work with postnatal recovery, hypermobility, back pain, joint issues and more. Your safety and experience always come first. If you’re unsure, just reach out we’re always happy to help.

  • At LifeBody, we don’t just run through exercises, we teach. Every class is rooted in the classical Pilates method, with thoughtful sequencing, real corrections, and a teacher who truly sees you.

Our classes are kept intentionally small, so you receive the hands-on, personalised attention that Pilates was designed for the kind that deepens your practice, helps you move better, and ultimately brings you closer to your goals.

You’ll leave feeling stronger, more connected, and often surprised at how different Pilates is meant to feel.

  • Yes, and you’ll probably find that Pilates helps everything else you do. It builds the kind of deep strength, alignment, and control that supports running, lifting, yoga, rehab… or just feeling better in your everyday life.

  • We completely understand life gets busy. If you need to reschedule, we just ask for 24 hours’ notice.

That’s the beauty of our online booking system, you can manage your sessions in real time and choose classes that fit around your schedule. Whether your week changes last minute or you're planning ahead, we're here to make Pilates something that works with your routine, not against it.
